THURSDAY 8TH

KEEP ON ASKING, SEEKING AND KNOCKING!

Matthew 7:7 (AMP), “Keep on asking and it will be given you, keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened.”

Besides John 3:16, our opening Scripture is also one of the most frequently quoted passages from the Bible. The first sentence, “Keep on asking and it will be given you” ought to give you an assurance (if you truly believe without any form of doubt) that you will receive whatever you ask for. You have a direct access to Heaven; you can get whatever you desire.
However, you should avoid reducing your prayer life to just a means of getting things for ourselves, prayer should deepened our relationship with God. The biblical purpose of prayer is that we get to know God. God made us and He knows our needs. More than that, He has our interest at heart but He still demands that we ask, search and knock.
When we ask God, we are expressing our desire to communicate with Him. When we seek, we are showing our desire to find Him and when we knock, it shows that we are longing to be in union with God. These principles placed side by side places a smile on God’s face because we have acknowledged Him as our sufficiency.  Prayer is a sure way of saying that we are willing to know God in deeper ways. And always, when we ask it is given to us, when we search we find, and when we knock, the door is opened.

FURTHER STUDY: Matthew 7:8 (NIV), “For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”

CONFESSION: I BOLDLY CONFESS I DO NOT LACK ANY GOOD THING. I AM SATISFIED BY GOD!
